Tigers Honor Tamarack Camps at Jewish Heritage Day

Sunday, April 30 at 1:10 PM

Join Tamarack Camps and the Tigers as they celebrate Jewish Heritage.  The Detroit Tigers will battle the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, April 30 at 1:10 PM. This ticket package includes a Detroit Tigers Hank Greenberg Hall Of Fame plaque, a Detroit Tigers yarmulke, and a five dollar donation to the Tamarack Camps.

Join us for a “Taste of Tamarack!”

1:00-5:30 pm

  • Buses depart from Temple Israel.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early, which allows for a smooth departure.

Activities include:

  • Camp Tour
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Sports
  • Nature Games
  • Rock Climbing
  • Pioneer Skills

Snacks and drinks are provided.  This event has no charge.

For 1st-time camper parents:

Join our professional staff for important highlights of the camp experience at “Talkin’ Tamarack!”

1:00-3:00 pm

  • In the chapel at Temple Israel.
  • Sessions begin following bus departure for camp.

Topics include:

  • Introduction of Camp’s Leadership
  • Preparing for the Camp Experience
  • “A Day in the Life” at Camp
  • What to Pack?
  • Mental Health Preparedness
  • Medical Procedures and Protocols
  • Jewish Programming

From Brighton and Camp Maas to television and movie screens, comedian Jon Glaser is coming home! Glaser has made a name for himself with roles on Parks and Recreation, Girls, and in Amy Schumer’s hit film, Trainwreck. Jon will perform with Go! Comedy Improv for our annual Send a Kid to Tamarack event for a night of laugh out loud camp comedy!
