Make a difference

Over the last 120 years, Tamarack Camps has been able to grow and thrive because of generous donors and former campers who want to give back. We believe every child should experience the power of a premier Jewish summer camp, regardless of financial ability. To fulfill our mission, Tamarack Camps subsidizes every camper with philanthropy to bring the Jewish camping experience within reach for more families. How do we make this possible? With the generous support of donors like you! Your gift is critical to providing more camper experiences, especially for those families who need financial support.

Now, as we continue to evolve and change, we know that the most important part of the camping experience remains the same: the growth that takes place in the lives of our campers, staff members, and families. For decades, this growth has been supported by a long tradition of community philanthropy. We are so honored to invite you to join our legacy of giving.

How you can help

Endowment

When you contribute to or create an endowment fund, we invest your gift and then use a portion of the funds it generates to support Tamarack Camps each year. Your initial gift is preserved and will continue to bear fruit for years to come.

Giving to Tamarack is a beautiful way to establish a meaningful personal or family legacy while also supporting transformational work in the community. Over the long term, your gift will keep growing and will ensure that we can plant the seeds of tomorrow, deepen our roots, and grow fruit worth sharing well into the future.

By giving to the alumni endowment fund, you honor the role Tamarack Camps played in your life, while also investing in future generations.

Agree

During the summers of 2020 and 2021, campers were unable to experience the magic a Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp due to the pandemic and border restrictions. With the support of Agree alumni, we were thrilled to say “Welcome Home” to 30 campers at Agree during the summer of 2022! Prior to their arrival, many critical projects were accomplished to ensure that the property met safety standards. The renovation projects that took place in the lodge, kitchen, cabins, and dock ensured a successful summer experience.

While we were able to accomplish many of our tasks, there are additional projects and items needed in order to maintain the property. This includes a dump trailer, tools to equip the gear repair room, a refrigerator and freezer in the craft shop, aluminum boats, canoes, and more.

We invite you to connect with Agree Outpost Camp by making a contribution! Giving to Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp ensures that this transformational tradition continues for future generations! Thank you once again for your continued support and for providing Tamarack campers with lifelong memories.

Jason Zaks Memorial Scholarship Fund

Do you have a group of friends that would like to make a difference at camp? Follow the example of the 1991 Teen Service Staff (TSS) members, who reconnected to honor their campmate by giving back to Tamarack, a place Jason loved, and the place that brought them together over thirty years ago. The TSS ’91 alumni collected contributions – from each other and from those who knew and loved Jason – to establish the Jason Zaks Memorial Scholarship Fund. For more information about establishing a named fund, please contact Lori Semel at semel@tamarackcamps.com or (248) 952-9118
