Experience an Amazing Tamarack Camps’ Trip to Israel.

Joy and Allan Nachman Teen Leadership Trip to Israel.

Tamarack Camps, in partnership with Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and community congregations, is excited to offer an Israel trip as the culminating camper experience for teens entering 12th grade. This initiative is geared toward campers interested in becoming future leaders in the community and at camp.

The first half of the summer is spent in Israel, exploring the country and enhancing leadership skills. Teens will have the opportunity to meet with CEOs of successful start-up companies, camp in the Negev, and celebrate Jewish life in the midst of some of the finest scenery in the world (just to name a few). The Israel portion places a strong emphasis on leadership.

The Israel component will be led by rabbis from our community, along with a tour guide, American counselors, an Israeli counselor and a medic/security guard.

Teens who want the full experience will return to Camp Maas for the second half of the summer, which will include leadership training opportunities through the JC (Junior Counselor) program.
