The moment they greet the great outdoors
Imagine a Shabbat service on the beach, or having Havdalah around a roaring campfire, with a million stars in the sky. At Tamarack outpost camps, in the heart of the wilderness, there are no clocks ticking away precious moments, nor are there distractions from the outside world (like cell phones). It’s how campers can fully immerse themselves in the natural rhythm of life — disconnecting from the modern world and reconnecting with oneself and nature.
At Tamarack outpost camps, kids set their own schedules, choose from a wide breadth of activities and foster friendships that last a lifetime.
Camp Kennedy is located on a private base camp in the Upper Peninsula. During their session, campers will embark on a four-day backpacking trip and four-day canoeing trip.
Note: Campers are responsible for planning and cooking all their own meals.

Campers will embark on an eight-day hiking trip along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior and a four-day canoeing trip, further exploring the deep waters of Northern Ontario.
When at base camp, they will stay in one of four cabins and have full use of showers, the lodge, sauna and other amenities. They will have additional opportunities to hike, swim in waterfalls and canoe rushing rivers — learning wilderness and leadership skills, self-confidence and group dynamics.
