The moment you help collect change for collective change
Whether it’s through increased confidence, discovering a life passion, developing new friendships or strengthening their Jewish identity, Tamarack campers and staff are forever impacted and forever changed. And in the spirit of this collective change seen year after year, we’ve created the CAMPaign for Change: an initiative that reinforces the Jewish value and tradition of tzedakah.
As part of learning what it means to live Jewishly, campers and staff participate in programs, led by our community rabbis, which deepen their understanding of our shared responsibility to help one another. Additionally, campers will decorate their own tzedakah box, and they’ll be encouraged to collect change to fill them.
Join our “Change Makers” who have initiated a project, collected supplies or raised funds to support camper scholarships and camp’s greatest needs so every child has the opportunity to enjoy a summer at “The Greatest Place on Earth!”
Change Maker projects have included:
- Collecting medical supplies
- Movie screening
- Virtual car race
- Making welcome cards for Israeli campers
- Craft sales, such as bracelets, necklaces, postcards and keychains
- Collecting bottles and cans
- Lemonade stand
- General fundraising
- Dog-walking
- Forming a “Mitzvah Miles” team for the Tamarack Trot
- Volunteering at the Tamarack Trot and other camp events
- Working at Bookstock — you can even bring your bubbies and zaydies!
- And so much more!

Change Maker Spotlight
Girl Scout Daisy Troop #77754
This amazing group of 27 girls worked together selling Girl Scout cookies and chose to donate some of their proceeds to Tamarack Camps! Through a troop vote, they decided to support scholarships and camper needs, ensuring more kids can enjoy a summer at “The Greatest Place On Earth!”
Daniel and Ari Heicklen
Daniel and Ari Heicklen created awesome Tamarack bracelets to support the CAMPaign for Change! Their efforts help provide camper scholarships, making the joy of Tamarack accessible to even more kids. Thank you for making a difference!
Lilly and Noah Moss
Siblings Lilly and Noah Moss gave back to Tamarack in meaningful ways! Noah raised funds for his Bar Mitzvah project, and Lilly created camp-themed stickers for her 10th-grade personal project. Together, they’re supporting camper scholarships through the CAMPaign for Change.
