From Brighton and Camp Maas to television and movie screens, Jon Glaser is coming home this April to the Tamarack Camps’ mainstage!
Glaser, who has made a name for himself with roles on Parks and Recreation, Girls, in Amy Schumer’s hit film Trainwreck, and most recently with his own show, Jon Glaser Loves Gear on TruTV, will headline and perform with Go Comedy! Improv for the 2017 Send a Kid to Tamarack Event on Sunday, April 23 at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts.
The event is Tamarack Camps’ marquee fundraiser and supports the Send a Kid to Tamarack annual campaign, which ensures that a Jewish camping experience—one that has been flourishing for 115 years—is affordable for all children. This summer, Tamarack Camps will award scholarships to campers attending Camp Maas, Camp Kennedy, Agree Outpost Camp, the Western and Alaska Trips and the TSS Israel Fellowship!
Glaser grew up in Oak Park and Southfield and now lives in New York City. He was an Ortonville, Western and Eastern Trip camper. Later, he worked for four years as a Brighton staff member. While everyone is excited to see Glaser, he won’t be the only Tamarack alum making his homecoming.
The weekend leading up to the Send a Kid to Tamarack event will also include the 2017 Brighton Reunion, which is expected to draw out-of-state and local alumni from our beloved Brighton. Details for the reunion are still being finalized, but any alumni interested are urged to fill out a short survey—HERE. Join the Brighton Reunion event on Tamarack Camps’ Facebook page to stay updated.
