Applications for summer 2017 are available on Thursday, September 1st, 2016, at 9:00 am (via the Tamarack Camps website).  Please be aware that applications are not processed on a first-come, first-served basis; instead, we offer a two week window, September 1st at 9:00 am, through September 16th at 8:59 am, to submit applications for Priority Registration.  A submitted application does not guarantee registration.  During this time, if more applications for a program are received than spaces are available, a lottery will be held.

Priority Registration is available to any returning camper and is based upon total years of participation at Camp Maas, in a Teen Program (Kennedy, Agree, Western, Appalachian Adventure, and Alaska), or Detroit’s Teen Mission to Israel, as outlined below:

  • Group A     7 or more years
  • Group B     6 years
  • Group C     5 years
  • Group D     4 years
  • Group E     3 years
  • Group F     2 years
  • Group G     1 year

Any returning camper applications submitted after September 16th at 8:59 am – regardless of total years of participation – will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, where space is still available.

On Friday, September 30th, families will be notified, via email, of registration confirmation.


For qualifying Jewish families living in Michigan, financial assistance is available for all Tamarack Camps’ summer camp programs, INCLUDING Teen Travel Trips (Western, Alaska), and TSS Israel Fellowship.  Further details, including deposit information, will be available on the camper application.
