With a B.A. in psychology and an M.D. from the University of Michigan, Dr. Stefanie brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Tamarack’s Chief Medical Officer. Since January 2023, she has been dedicated year-round to ensuring every member of our camp community’s health and safety! She has been a long time contributor to our camp lay leadership community and medical staff, serving as a doctor in the clinic since 2005. She’s board certified in pediatrics and breastfeeding & lactation medicine, and has additional certifications in pediatric advanced lifesaving, CPR/AED, and lifeguarding. In addition to her Tamarack duties, Stefanie runs a private micro-practice, helping new moms, babies and their families navigate the challenges of parenthood, from prenatal to empty nest. A Tamarack alum herself, Stefanie met her husband as a camp staff member in 1990!
Proudest accomplishment: Passing the legacy of loving camp on to her kids and helping other families to do the same, and spearheading Tamarack’s Heart Month Heart Screening
