Tamarack Camps, established by the Fresh Air Society, builds a vibrant community by providing enriching Jewish camping experiences for children and families, respectful of financial ability.
Tamarack Camps offers financial assistance to qualifying Jewish families who live in Michigan. Assistance is available for Camp Maas, Outpost Camps and the Teen Travel Trips. Specific details regarding financial assistance forms and the process will be provided once your camper is registered for camp and financial assistance has been requested.
Financial Assistance Process
Registration: Register for Tamarack Camps summer programs and indicate your interest in applying for financial assistance. When you request financial assistance, a $100 deposit per camper is required with each application.
Once your camper’s application is submitted, you will receive an email with the link to “FAST” – the financial assistance application. You will need to complete the FAST application as well as download additional forms which provide financial information including your most recent tax return and current pay stubs.
Should you have any technical questions about submitting your application or financial assistance forms, please contact our main office at 248-647-1100.
Scholarships Awards and Payment Schedule: Notification of financial scholarship awards will be provided via email. Award recipients have to send in an additional $100 deposit per camper to secure their placement. Families will also need to designate whether they will pay their balance in full by April 1 or set up a monthly payment plan.
For families on the monthly payment plan, the final balance is due one week prior to the start of the session of camp your child(ren) is/are attending. All accounts must be in balance in order for campers to be eligible to attend camp.
