Entering 12th grade
Tamarack Camps is excited to announce a new program for teens entering 12th grade, in partnership with Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and community congregations. This initiative is geared toward teens interested in becoming future leaders in the community and at camp.
The first half of the summer is in Israel, exploring the country and enhancing leadership skills. Teens will have the opportunity to meet with CEOs of successful startup companies, camp in the Negev, and celebrate Jewish life in the midst of some of the finest scenery in the world (just to name a few)! The Israel portion is designed for first-time travelers and campers who have previously visited, with a strong emphasis on leadership.
Teens will return to Camp Maas for the second half of the summer, which will include leadership training opportunities, work placements in various areas at camp, an exciting camping trip, and camp activities.
The Israel component will be led by rabbis from our community, along with a tour guide, American counselors, an Israeli counselor, and a medic/security guard.
For the summer of 2017, the following options are available:
- Israel and TSS (June 20-July 14, July 17-August 17): $5,900
- Israel only (June 20-July 14): $5,400
- TSS only (July 17-August 17): $900
