Hello Camp Maas Families,
We’ve always known that camp helps raise some of the very best kids in the world. When campers unplug from screens, connect with nature, form deep friendships and try new things, something amazing happens: they grow into their very best selves.
Last summer, we took that growth one step further with our brand-new Tamarack Traits Program— a camp-wide character-building program designed to help campers learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. It centers around five foundational traits that represent our community values, with campers choosing a sixth trait every summer that they individually want to grow in. Through interactive programming, visual art, recognition systems and community rituals, this initiative will reinforce these traits as part of a camper’s daily life–in the summer and beyond.
For summers to come, we will continue to build intentional programming around the following traits that reflect the spirit of our community and the values we hope campers carry with them beyond our gates:
