Preparing for a B’nai Mitzvah can be a huge undertaking for parents and kids. In addition to studying and planning, teens must also choose a mitzvah project, a chance to put the Jewish tradition of tzedakah into action — which can also feel overwhelming at the start.
Mitzvah Madness is designed to make it easier for families. With guidance, inspiration and a little “mitzvah mentorship,” your child can discover projects that reflect their passions and values — including opportunities to give back to Tamarack Camps through our CAMPaign for Change program.

Mitzvah Madness has been such a meaningful experience for our family. Teaching our boys about tzedakah, social responsibility and giving back is something we really value — and this program brings those lessons to life.
I’ve been so proud watching both of them choose projects that are personal to them, especially supporting Tamarack, a place that has shaped who they are. Seeing them take ownership and make an impact shows me these values are truly sticking. We’re so grateful they have the opportunity to learn, lead and give back in such a meaningful way.

At Mitzvah Madness campers will:
- Meet “mitzvah mentors,” who will share about their own mitzvah projects.
- Make hygiene kits and T-shirt tote bags to donate, as well as welcome bracelets for 2026 Serling Israeli campers with Repair the World.
- Enjoy a kosher dinner.
- Take home exclusive Tamarack swag!
Thanks to the generosity of the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation, there is no fee for this event, but registration is required.
