Earlier this month, we held our annual board retreat at Camp Maas. This is more than a fun-filled day at camp; it’s an opportunity to set the tone for the year ahead and for our extraordinary board members to experience the breadth of our great agency!
On just one Sunday morning, our dedicated leadership experienced the following:
- A tour of the grounds that hosted new and returning campers, best-in-class staff, family camp participants, alumni, and community stakeholders.
- Our Tamarack Adventure and Retreat Center (TARC) in action with guests from “Camp Kulabunga,” one of many rental groups that our team hosts throughout the year.
- An inspiring and interactive session about our collective roles and passion for advancement, facilitated by board leadership and staff members: Elizabeth Sollish (Vice President of Advancement), Julie Trepeck Harris (Secretary), and Gabe Neistein (Chief Advancement Officer).
- Time for our dedicated committee chairs to brainstorm ideas on a comprehensive set of topics that can be brought back to additional leaders throughout the upcoming year – yet another reminder of how many community stakeholders are vital partners in all we do.
If our retreat and our day at camp together were any indication, it’s clear that the Summer of 2024, and the important work leading up to its commencement, is shaping up to be our best yet!
