This summer at JCC Day Camps, powered by Tamarack, we are so excited for another incredible summer. At JCC Day Camps there is a variety of programming for children in kindergarten – ninth grade. We are located on over 250 beautiful, wooded acres at the JCC of Metro Detroit in West Bloomfield. Camp families feel secure with free chaperoned transportation from 25 different bus stops from around Oakland County. With dedicated trained staff, JCC Day Camps is the premier place for summer fun through a Jewish lens. As an added bonus, this summer we have instructional swimming.
A quick introduction of the very talented and experienced leadership staff at JCC Day Camps includes Randy Comensky, Senior Managing Director. Randy has over 25 years of camping staff experience, including 20 years as JCC Camp Director in Houston, Buffalo, and St. Louis. Sam Pellett has been the Assistant Director at JCC Day Camps since 2018 and prior to joining us she served two years in AmeriCorps’ Michigan Education Corps. Terrie Miller, our Registrar since 2014, has been assisting camp families with registrations, financial assistance and navigating the website.
This summer we are offering great weekly options for our community. In addition to our weekly traditional day camp options, we are also offering specialty camps for third through six graders including: Art Camp, Cooking Camp, Sports Camp, Creativity Camp and Theater Camp (Moana Jr.). These are great options for families looking to fill a few weeks between family vacations and going to Tamarack Camps.
