ON THE TRAIL FOR SUMMER SMILES

By Carly Weinstock, Camp Director

Tamarack Camps is passionate about its stakeholders in the local area — and, additionally, reaches far beyond Michigan! This month, our team hit the road to visit our mishpacha (family) in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Houston to spread excitement for the Summer of 2024, recruiting even more smiles to join the fun.

Thank you to our fantastic Program Committee member, Jessica Berry, her husband Ryan, and their children, Allie and Jake, for so comfortably and welcomingly hosting us in Los Angeles and for making us a part of their remarkable California community.

We’re also grateful to Natalie and Michael Waldman, along with their children Charlie, Andrew, and Katie!  They generously opened their home in Dallas to Danielle Tagai (Director of Mental Health and Special Needs) and me. Thank you to all our amazing Dallas families who shared their camp stories at another memorable and meaningful visit.

Our trip to Houston would not have been possible without Alexandra and Eli Witus and their son (and future Applebaum camper), Sidney, who graciously hosted Danielle, four new families, and me. Thank you for helping us to grow our camp community!

Now, we’re back in Detroit, and would love to tell you more about Tamarack at an upcoming informational meeting! Join us on December 6 at 5:00 pm via Zoom or on December 7 at 5:30 pm at the Tamarack office (6735 Telegraph Road, Suite 380 Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301).

Registration is still open but programs are quickly filling!  If there is anything we can help with or meet with families about, we remain available. I love talking about camp with campers so please reach out to me at weinstock@tamarackcamps.com and we can set up a time to speak about the summer.
