A Changing Role for Rachel Fine

By: Jackie Yashinsky, Director of Teen Programs

After a tremendously successful summer directing Camp Kennedy, we are pleased to announce an expanded role for Rachel Fine. She will be working day-to-day with our outpost camps and we are all very excited for the many positive contributions she’ll bring to those programs. Next summer, she’s thrilled to continue the responsibilities as the director of Camp Kennedy!

Rachel was hired as the Development and Marketing Associate for the agency in February 2019. In this role, Rachel has brought her passion for the outposts to the alumni circle, as well as fundraising efforts. She spent every summer from 2006 to 2014 at an outpost camp (Camp Kennedy and Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp). She is a self-proclaimed “Outpost Girl.” During those years, she was a Kennedy camper, staff member, and supervisor at Agree.

Before returning to Tamarack Camps professionally, she managed a teen mentorship program for middle and high schoolers, PeerCorps, at Repair the World for over four years. PeerCorps helps Jewish teens connect with the city of Detroit through community service learning work.

According to Rachel, when she closes her eyes and goes to her happy place, she’s on Nevins Lake.

We are so excited to see Rachel in this new role. She will continue to do amazing things for our community!

Rachel can be contacted at rfine@tamarackcamps.com.
