SK2T 2024: Many stories, one voice

Jeffrey Kirschner and Lisa Korotkin Rothberger

In Tamarack Camps’ storied 123-year history, it’s safe to say we’ve accumulated a lot of… stories. For us, we’ve experienced Tamarack through the eyes of our children, and seeing their growth on their Tamarack journeys has inspired us to become involved and invest in our camp community.

For others, stories are told from their own experiences and span generations. From Brighton and Camp Maas to Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp or Camp Kennedy. On a bus out west, on a glacier in Alaska, or through the beauty of a trip to Israel. Some Tamarack alumni have stories that are now intergenerational — grandparents who enjoyed a Bubbie Zaydie camp experience with their grandchildren.

L’Dor V’Dor (from generation to generation), no matter your experience, we are all connected through one mission: to ensure that the Tamarack experience endures for this year’s campers and those to come. And, in “one voice” (our fitting event theme), your support for our Send a Kid to Tamarack Event will provide approximately $1 million in scholarships — more than any other Jewish camp in the world — and make camp affordable for all families.

There are more stories yet to be told! Share your voice by joining us on May 8 at Temple Israel as we honor Community Leaders Elaine and Michael Serling and Distinguished Alumna Naomi Miller and celebrate the impact of Tamarack’s Jewish camping experience.
