Summer is unfolding across every corner of Tamarack Camps. From our youngest campers at Camp Maas to our seasoned explorers trekking through the beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the majestic landscapes of Alaska, the American West or the rainforests of Costa Rica, the memories they are making will last long after the season ends.
Camp Maas

It’s hard to believe that we said farewell to our session 1 mini campers this morning. Their 10 days flew by — packed with camp favorites like Music Lunches, Circus Day, Foxfire and even Schuchman Family Israel Day, plus new opportunities, like our Tamarack Traits Program. We were thrilled to watch their joyous reunions with loved ones. Meanwhile, the energy remains high at “The Greatest Place on Earth!” We look forward to our second Shabbat of the session tonight, where we will gather in the amphitheater of The HuG, with the new stage overlooking the lake — a breathtaking setting for singing, reflection and community.
Camp Kennedy

Our Camp Kennedy campers are enjoying the gorgeous Upper Peninsula. From the moment they arrived, the group jumped into camp life — cooking meals in rotating kitchen prep (KP) groups and refreshing their tripping skills for their backcountry adventure into the wilderness of northern Ontario, part of a visit to Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp.
Alaska Trip

With more than 2,000 miles behind them, our Alaska campers are deep into Canada and soaking in the marvels their journey — from stunning mountain views to spontaneous adventures. They’ve already spotted elk (and are still hoping for moose or bears!) and enjoyed Banff, Jasper and Whitehorse. Next up is the historic Chilkoot Trail for their first backcountry.
Western Trips

Our Western Trip campers are making the most of every mile as they travel through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the American West. With three trips on the road, Western 1 has already completed their Rocky Mountains backcountry — highly anticipated by Western 2 and 3 in the coming days — and moved on to Arches National Park in Utah. As the journey continues, each group is embracing the adventure, deepening their friendships and soaking up every unforgettable view along the way.
Teen Leadership Village (TLV)

Whether at Camp Maas or on their journey in Costa Rica, our TLV campers are immersing themselves in meaningful experiences that connect them to Jewish values, leadership and community. From volunteering at Fundación Humanitarian in La Carpio to learning from the Bribri Indigenous community, snorkeling in Cahuita National Park and preparing for Shabbat services in San José, they are growing through service, cultural exchange and reflection in ways that will serve them when they return to their roles at camp and beyond.
Bubbie Zaydie Family Camp

Today begins our fourth Bubbie Zaydie weekend — and the joy continues. Grandkids and grandparents have been busy creating tie-dyed masterpieces, watching magic shows and sharing chocolatey smiles over Havdalah s’mores. These are weekends full of Tamarack traditions meant to be shared from generation to generation. L’dor v’dor!
Whether you’re experiencing camp again through your kids or grandkids or simply reminiscing about your own time as a camper, you can still make Tamarack part of your summer. Join us for Summer Family Camp or Tamarack Homecoming — two special chances to reconnect with the ruach (spirit), warmth and community that make camp feel like home.
