A summer at Tamarack is an investment that lasts far beyond the camp season; it’s an investment in the person your child is becoming — in their friendships, independence, confidence, Jewish connection and the feeling of belonging to a community that becomes a home.
And we recognize that making such an investment is something families carefully consider. The simple reality is that we are living in a world of increasing costs. Here, the dollars required to run camp continue to rise… as everything rises. Health and safety, food, transportation, insurance, staffing, equipment, and the many other necessities that go into creating a meaningful summer all cost more than they did a year ago. Please be assured that, when setting rates, we work carefully to minimize increases, while, simultaneously, continuing to provide the exceptional Tamarack experience our families deserve and expect.
In our overall cost, we stretch to include the full experience, with local transportation, laundry and premium activities as part of the published program rate. Again, all included — no additional fees.
Additionally, 100% of Tamarack campers benefit from philanthropic support. Through the help of our generous community, many of the expenses that help make a successful Tamarack experience are not passed through to families (for example, state-of-the-art facilities, special programming and social work support).
It also allows us to offer scholarships to families in need.
We encourage every family who could benefit from a scholarship to apply. We know that there isn’t one definition of what it means to need help with the cost of camp. Families have different circumstances, different financial responsibilities and different events in their lives. Camp is expensive at a time when life is more expensive than ever, and we want to work with families to maximize the experience… and still manage the expense.
Because scholarships aren’t just about dollars — they’re about ensuring more kids get to benefit from Tamarack.
