Believe it or not, many campers, even the “seasoned” ones, experience pre-camp jitters. Campers who are excited for camp can also be nervous about going, similar to how campers who experience homesickness still have an amazing experience at camp. Allowing your child to acknowledge their worry — and maybe even sharing your own nerves about the experience — will give you the chance to help normalize their feelings about going to sleepaway camp.
And I’ll let you in on a little secret — even our seasoned adult senior leadership staff experience their own pre-camp jitters before the summer begins!
Our leadership team at Tamarack Camps is dedicated to making sure both you and your child feel ready, safe and prepared for camp. If your child would benefit from a pre-camp meeting with Carly Weinstock, our camp director, please feel free to email her to set up a meeting.
More exposure to camp=more confidence

May 30–June 1: Mom & Me Camp (registration will open early spring)
June 15: Family Fun Day at Camp Maas
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
