Camp Maas Newsletter: Circus Day

Dear Families of Camp Maas,

A little rain didn’t stop the circus from coming to town.  Yesterday morning, the Brighton Side campers – Shiffman, Applebaum, Fishman, and DeRoy, along with Atid and Avodah, gathered inside the gym to play midway games such as sponge toss at the counselors, face painting, fake scars (compliments of the clinic), a cake walk, human ring toss and so much more.  Outside they jumped on the inflatables and went on horse rides.  And, a circus isn’t complete without popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones!

After lunch, costumes came off as all of Brighton Side went to Sobell Beach.  The campers had a blast playing outside, eating soft pretzels, tubing, and getting to just hang out with friends.

After dinner, Brighton Junior Side campers were treated to a “Big Top Show,” starring their counselors.  It was truly awesome to see the counselors make magic out of the simple things they found around camp.  Following the show all campers enjoyed an evening of fun activities during Schmooze.

I can’t wait to see what fun tomorrow brings!
