What an incredible and inspiring night! We extend our most heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us on screen for a “Toast to Tamarack!” Because of you, Tamarack Camps – and countless lives – have been changed for good.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, corporate sponsors, and community, our annual Send a Kid to Tamarack (SK2T) event raised a record amount of money to support camper scholarships and help subsidize fees for all campers. And this is so helpful – in these continuously challenging times, our needs remain greater than ever.
The program was a tremendous success due to the leadership of our SK2T Co-Chairs, Maddi Ishbia and Fran Martin, alongside our wonderful Development Committee, and Tamarack Camps Board President, Geoff Kretchmer. We proudly honored our 2021 Distinguished Alumna, Helayne Shaw, for the profound difference she has made in this community. She has influenced and changed the lives of several generations of children and families.
We also want to acknowledge our SK2T program participants: Ken Daniels; Alexis Darmon; Claudia Halpern; Rabbi Jennifer Kaluzny; Rachel, Gabe, and Jillian Karp; Matt Lester; Rabbi Michael Moskowitz; Susan Tapper; and many other campers, families, volunteers, and supporters who shared meaningful messages. We had so much fun working with the development team and entire professional staff at Tamarack Camps. With the launch of the CAMPaign for Change, we are excited to share in the teaching of tzedakah and community responsibility – while continuing to make a difference!
Because of the people that have come into our lives through our experiences with Tamarack Camps, and seeing the smiling faces of campers forever changed, WE have been changed for the better and changed for good. So, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for the opportunity to serve this generous community and do such meaningful work.
With love and best wishes for a wonderful summer,
Julie Trepeck Harris and Dr. Barbara Kappy
