Every child deserves the opportunity to go to camp. Scholarships make this possible.
Tamarack Camps Scholarship Information
Our mission at Tamarack Camps, as established by the Fresh Air Society, is to build a vibrant community by providing enriching Jewish camping experiences for children and families, respectful of financial ability. We have upheld this mission for over 100 years.
Tamarack Camps offers scholarships to qualifying Jewish families who live in Michigan based on need. 100% of families in Michigan who qualify receive scholarships.
Above and beyond scholarships, Tamarack Camps underwrites every camper’s fees by $90 per day to help keep camp affordable for everyone.
How to Apply for Scholarships
Register for Tamarack Camps summer programs and indicate your interest in applying for a scholarship. When you request a scholarship, a deposit per camper is required with each application ($100 for mini sessions, $200 for full sessions at Camp Maas or Outpost Camps, and $750 for Travel Trips).
The scholarship application is provided with the camper application.
Scholarships Awards and Payment Schedule: Notification of financial scholarship awards will be provided via email. Families will also need to designate whether they will pay their balance in full or set up a monthly payment plan.
For families on the monthly payment plan, the final balance is due one week prior to the start of the session of camp your child(ren) is/are attending. All accounts must be in balance for campers to be eligible to attend camp.
